Headlined by the high-energy, female-led drumming group Batalá, known for their powerful Afro-Bahian Carnaval rhythms, the festival also includes the dynamic sounds of Midnight Jack, a Brazilian-American rock band fusing tropical vibes with classic rock. Keeping the dance floor alive, Newark favorite, DJ Marcy DePina spins an irresistible mix of Brazilian funk, soul, reggae and hip hop. Plus, don’t miss the Arts & Fashion Workshop by designer Mercia Braga, adding a creative touch to this immersive cultural experience.
