Since 1993, Korn has pushed boundaries, combining traditional heavy metal with elements of hip-hop, grunge, and alternative rock. They are considered pioneers of the Nu Metal genre, and the band's founders name the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Faith No More as their earliest influences. Korn's ignition of the Nu Metal spark inspired a long list of performers to create within the genre.
