Don Omar, whose real name is William Omar Landron, is a Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, composer, record producer, entrepreneur, actor and drag racer from the barrio of Santurce in San Juan. Over the past 25 years, the artist has become a pioneer by helping popularize the music of his homeland on the global stage. He is widely regarded as the “King of Reggaeton,” and goes by other nicknames including "El Rey" or "El Rey del Reggaeton."
